Starting off the day right with goodies from Little Pickle at The Mill ☕ 🍰 🫖☀️

Looking forward to the 'Meet the Artist' exhibition launch event tomorrow at @chalksgallery for their new 'Aurora' exhibition.

You might guess by the snap shot of new pieces that I was particularly inspired by the stunning Aurora Borealis which I was lucky enough to see in all its glory in Iceland in 2020. So pleased to have been able to make some work based on this experience.

New drop out firing update....

After the first firing I got the droop out of the mould I was expecting but not as deep as I'd hoped.

So I put them back in to droop a bit moreand raised the temp a little ... Obviously a tad too much 🤦‍♀️

Ah well, try again. The bigger piece came out with some interesting fluid shapes at least so some more inspiration for future pieces and fittings. Keep you posted on future tests

Let's see how these come out 😬🤞🙏 in the hands of the kiln gods now.
I've been meaning to try these firings for a while so I'm excited to start testing. I'll let you know how it comes out good or bad
